Good morning everyone,
I'm baaack. It's great to be back in Texas but I hated leaving my son. That was harder then sending him off in the first place. He heads to Charleston, SC tomorrow to start A school. He had grown up so much in the last 7 weeks. I am sooo proud of him. We had a great trip other then a few run ins with the ex's fiance. She was a real biotch at times. My kids are pushing away from their dad because of her. Kind of sad. But the trip was great and I got lots of quality time with both of the kids.
Favorite toys growing up. Well, I was never a girly girl so rebelled against barbies and such. I played outside, climbing trees. I remember the year I got trucks for Christmas. I loved it.
Have a great day everyone. I got a call during the trip about another phone interview so hopefully they will call today like I asked them too. Saying prayers for all.
It's a cold morning here in my office! I don't think the heater has kicked on yet.
Today is Addison's 15th birthday. Chase's birthday is the only one so far that we haven't celebrated as a new family. I've only been in the kid's lives for a little over 6 mos, but it feels like I've known them forever. I am blessed to have two more kids in my life! Last night we got Addison a Cowgirl Tuff shirt that she's been asking for. I am going to stop on the way home and get her cake and ice cream. The girls are going with their mom this evening but I bet they'll be hungry for cake later..lol Friday we are doing an all out birthday party for her. It will be interesting I'm sure!
Mom and dad are leaving today. It will be quiet in our house again. Kaylee will be happy to get her room back though.
Gotta get some work done...tons of ARD corrections to go through. Yipee!
Edit: I forgot to add my favorite toys-
I had a Big Wheel that I drove the wheels off - literally. I also had Baby Beans that I would carry around. My Barbie Dream house with all of her blow up furniture and elevator was the bomb too. Life was good! I always wanted an Easy bake oven and one time mom found one at a garage sale. There were no cake packets with it though so I had to use a real cake mix. Mom decided that it wasn't worth wasting an entire cake mix though, so I only ever to got to bake in it once. I always wanted one of the Barbie heads with the long hair that you could fix up. My best friend had one and she would never share the lipstick stuff with me, I only got to put the curlers in. Maybe that's why I became a fat hairdresser when I grew up- to make up for my easy bake oven and hair syling woes.....hehe
